Riding Academy / Lesson Program

We offer a complete riding program for children to adults.  We teach beginners to advance riders, and riders of all ages.  Whether you are wanting to ride just for recreation or if you are wanting to go all the way to the show ring.  We will teach you the skills you need to be a safe and competitive rider.

All beginners start off in private lessons until they are up and riding at a comfortable level.  Then you will be placed in a group enviroment to get use to riding with other horses as well as riders.  But I tailor each lesson to each individual persons needs.

Riding lessons consist of learning about grooming, tacking up horses and basic horse knowledge needed to know in helping you learn about safety for the rider as well as the horse. Actual ride time is 30 minutes and the rest of the time is spent getting the horse ready to ride as well as cleaning the horse after riding.  (1 hour in total)  The kids learn hands on how to care for the horse.

Safety is my First Priority for both the rider and for the horse.  Helmet (SEI approved) are required for all students under the age of 18.  But are recommended for all riders.  Students should always wear proper riding apparel when riding.  Which includes either of, jodhpurs or jeans and proper riding boots.

At Felder Stables we strive for a fun, friendly environment for all of our students.  I want each of our students to strive in attaining each individuals goals.  What ever that goal may be!!
